Kage, coming from a good school and background, has grown to be an admirable person. He seems like the perfect being: kind, determined, brave, and intelligent. He strives to do his best every time, and never fails to lend a helping hand.

Little do people know, this was actually due to the fact that he wanted his guardians to have absolutely no qualms about letting him go. He played the perfect role perfectly, but only because he wanted to earn everyone's trust, enough for him to go back and look for his old lover, Kaine.

Unknowingly, while 'pretending', he had easily embedded these traits into himself, and had quickly felt no need to pretend anymore, for these emotions had become his own.

Kage grew up in the same orphanage as Kaine, and has loved her since the first day they met: which was a situation on it's own. Kaine, who hated bullies, had readily went up to help another child, at the exact same time as Kage did. Together, they fended off the bullies and became friends. It soon developed into love. They spent most of their time together, having found that they shared the same hobby: reading. Together, they'd sit under the huge tree in the garden all day long just reading.

Their time together was short-lived, for one day, on an errand outside the orphanage, he helped an old man retrieve his wallet from a thief. Kage walked the old man home, and realized that he was actually extremely wealthy, but lonely. He started visiting the old man from time to time.

One day, a few men showed up at the orphange, and took Kage away in the night. Kage had no say in the matter, and he hadn't been given a chance to speak to Kaine. It seemed that the old man had passed away, and had left all his wealth to Kage. His trusted men had sought Kage out, adopting him under the old man's name, and brought him to a far off country to educate him. This country had not been on good terms with his homeland, and so Kage never had a chance to even send Kaine a letter (although occasionally he'd try!).

All this time, the only thing that drove him to strive hard, was the thought of being reunited with Kaine as soon as he was well and old enough to have a say. Being quite the fast-learner, Kage had managed to succeed, and soon after he set out to look for Kaine, ending up in Kadouya.
