Kasumi never knew what it was to dream, or to discover his own abilities. All his life, he was led on by doctors and his parents, and never had the chance to decide anything for himself. Because of this, he is extremely dependant on others, and is especially attracted to those who are decisive and know what they want for themselves.. something he never learnt to do.

He hates being a burden, because that feeling of not being wanted has haunted him all his life. Though, as much as he tries, it seems he cannot tear himself away from wanting to be taken care of. He just wants to be loved; to have some place to belong to... he wants it so badly.. it hurts.

Kasumi probably stayed at the hospital more than anywhere else. Very sickly from young, he was phrone to illnesses and so his parents felt it was better for him to actually stay there. Coming from a rich family, this was no problem at all. His parents cared for him like parents would their child... though that changed when they had their second, healthy child. Their visits started to decrease, and eventually, as if they had forgotten they ever had another child, they never came again. Although Kasumi's hospital bills were still paid for, he become an existance that only he himself knew about. He understood that he was not what his parents had wanted... he had become nothing more than a burden.

Everyday he would just lie in his hospital bed.. He did not know what he lived for, or for what reason to which he was borne. A living puppet, he lived his life like a breathing corpse.

One day, a new doctor became in charge of him. He looked at Kasumi, and said simply, "You don't like it here." It was more a statement than a question. Kasumi himself was caught off guard. Didn't like it here? How was that possible? Where could he possibly go? Was this not the place he belonged to?

For the first time in his life, Kasumi actually wondered if it were possible for him to leave the hospital...
